4/11/2023 0 Comments Kite liberator gifSadly, Monaka of Kite Liberator doesn’t have even the implied depth of Sawa. As a successor to Kite, the later OVA also features a killer girl, and one that looks somewhat similar to Sawa of the original. Excerpt from Kite Liberator animation by Keita Matsumotoīut most of times it’s not the animation that the sequel fails at. On the other hand, there are some definitely weird cuts that feel like they came from a completely different decade compared to the incredible CG. The character designs are clearly aimed at being as moe as possible and it was also more or less a success. 2D stuff also most of times worked well, action scenes were done at least competently, though for instance two guys shooting at each other dozens of bullets while being completely unshielded and not even grazing one another is a bit annoying. Even a Hollywood production might get away using something of this caliber. Some CG space stuff was so incredibly animated that it can easily best many anime projects that use CG even now, almost 10 years later. Going on a little tangent, the animation actually might be the best part of the OVA. You won’t be the first to question whether space and assassin girls really complement each other that well, but apparently at the time nobody objected. The director Yasuomi Umetsu probably wanted to make the sequel more diverse to capture more audiences, and in the true 80s and 90s fashion he chose to add some space adventures as well as some cute girls because that’s what people like now. Well, I might end up only reciting all the weird plot elements, but as there’s little to talk about characters or themes and I don’t recommend watching it in the first place, I guess it’ll be fine. Kite Liberator is another OVA, also about an hour-long, but its essence is completely different from its predecessor. Why a girl that can shred her opponents to pieces would do nothing and keep getting used in all sorts of ways for some years only to rebel at a random moment? It might have been an interesting character study, but Kite doesn’t bother to offer the slightest idea what really happens in Sawa’s head.Īnd then, 10 years later, there comes a sequel of sorts. Certainly the OVA doesn’t just state the fact “the protagonist Sawa is a killer” and illustrate it with buckets of blood – there’s some stuff to make you think, but in the very end I don’t find it that satisfactory. The idea of having an assassin girl stuck with some pretty bad people might have been developed into something meaningful, but Kite rather spends time for the content that got deleted in the shorter version. And Kite in all these respects feels very much a child of its time, especially knowing that certainly not all old OVAs were good. The animation itself with its roughness gives a nostalgic feeling, something distinct form that lighter computer-enhanced art nowadays. There’s a certain charm that 80s and 90s OVAs have – that of dark settings, lots of violence, and, in this case, girls with guns. It’s plain to see why Kite managed to earn some fan-following. Well, it depends on your view towards hentai, but that’s not the aspect I want to discuss now. Just for the record, as far as I know from little research, plotwise (not “plot”-wise) the shorter version is as good, and might even be better without mostly unnecessary 15 additional minutes. The shorter version somehow ended up being on Crunchyroll, and there’s where I watched it, so don’t expect me to talk anything about hentai stuff. Technically, it’s a hentai, but there exists a shorter version (approximately 45 min long compared to 60 min) that has all that risky stuff cut out. Western audiences seem to enjoy an OVA from 1998 called Kite.

Teachers can equip their students with an additional item hotbar to give them three more items then they could normally carry. This is a master overview of the entire Minecraft world that allows an educator to see where everyone is at, communicate with players, and edit various settings for the world. These are also available from Mojang's website. These can range from puzzles, building projects, cartography and much more. Students must work together to accomplish specific tasks. In the same vein as lessons, challenges focus less on teaching about a specific structure and more on collaboration and cooperation. Teachers can also upload their own lessons for other users to access from the website. There are a huge number of lessons available from Mojang's website that are organized by subject and age group. A very important aspect of Minecraft: Education Edition are the lessons. There are tutorial worlds available to both educators and students that teach how to use their respective functions, and the different things you can do in Minecraft: Education Edition. Minecraft: Education Edition is quite complicated, and can be very harrowing to the uninitiated. The functions available for educators and teachers to use are: This allows educators to define set areas in which students can roam. Tools and functions for educators in Minecraft: Education EditionĪ bunch of children hanging out in Minecraft without educators and teachers being able to moderate them is bound to turn into giggle-filled chaos, so of course there are a ton of tools available to help define boundaries and keep students on task. One of the coolest features of Minecraft: Education Edition is the ability for students to export their projects to Remix 3D and actually build them in the real world using 3D printers. Allows students and educators to play in a fully functional Minecraft world solely by writing code. This allows educators to scale lessons as needed. Students can also work solo, in pairs, or just join their other classmates in a world. Up to 30 students can work in a world at a time, without the need to set up or rent a server. She has also appeared in El verano que vivimos with Cable Girls alum Blanca Suárez, Polyamory for Dummies and Ego. the Machines and starred in Who Would You Take to a Deserted Island? opposite Money Heist and Elite co-star Jaime Lorente. María Pedraza didn’t stray too far from the Netflix family, as she graduated from a teen dancer on Elite to a pro bono lawyer taking on a case to free a dancer from prison time on Toy Boy. Spoilers below (if you aren’t caught up with the first four seasons of Elite). So, this left us wondering: Dónde están los otros Elite OGs ahora? And where did their characters go off to in the first place? We’ve got your status update below. Since the start of the series, each season has hinged on unraveling a mystery, whether it be a disappearance or worse yet, murder.īut it wouldn’t be Las Encinas if, in between amateur detective work and cover-ups, the students at this elite institution didn’t relieve their presión by throwing lascivious parties in between locker room hookups.Īs we’re nearing Season 5, though, it’s hard not to notice that the number of original cast members (or, shall we say, murder suspects) on Elite has dwindled down to two after graduating or leaving due to more, ahem, violent means: Omar Shanaa (Omar Ayuso) and Samuel “Samu” García (Itzan Escamilla). However, there’s a silver lining as it seems that the pair may get most of their much-needed closure in their own special episode of the Netflix original series titled Elite Short Stories: Carla & Samuel. Check out the teaser for the upcoming short story featuring your favorite unexpected couple right here.Surviving a school year at Las Encinas is a feat, a badge of honor, even, considering that making it to graduation is never a guarantee on Elite. The only person who may have a chance at convincing her to come back would be Samuel, as those two characters were in a steamy situationship for most of season 3. Like Nadia and Lucrecia, Carla has gone on to graduate from Las Encinas-and being that she’s had quite a crazy time during her high school years, it doesn’t seem like she would return to her hometown any time soon. You might want to brace yourselves for this one as it’s been announced that Ester Exposito would ultimately not reprise her role as Carla in the newest season of Elite. SPOILER ALERT: This article contains a spoiler for the upcoming season of Elite. We tell you whether or not you can expect your favorite bombshell blonde in Elite season 4 down below. The show has experienced some turnover, and unfortunately Carla may be amongst those who may not be in the main cast anymore. Most of all, fans will have to prepare themselves for the amount of characters who are not returning next season. Elite fans, are you ready for the new season of the Netflix original series? We are super excited for Elite season 4 coming to Netflix later this week it feels like Friday simply can’t come fast enough.Īs fans of the show prepare for season 4, they also have to get ready to meet the amount of intriguing new characters coming this season who are sure to stir the pot for our original Las Encinas students. Then it just sends the edit data that is stored in the catalog file. Update: as I think it through some more, I expect it only uploads & downloads the photos once (and probably just the preview). Oh well, it's free for CC users like, so I'll play with it, but I guess I won't be using it for large amounts of photos. But to save bandwidth, I'd like the option of syncing through my home network instead. It is good to have the option of putting the photos in the cloud so they can be accessed from anywhere. Nope, won't be syncing a large number of photos on my iPad, or I'll be paying internet overage charges out the wahzoo. The other problem, for those of us in backwards countries with crippled internet with slow uploads and insane data caps, is that the syncing is done through the cloud. My folder structure is date based, and I use smart collections to group my photos into subjects. No automation here.Īlmost all of my collections are smart collections. That means you have to manually manage what is available for mobile and what isn't. That's not so bad, BUT, it only works on standard collections. After you enable mobile syncing, a little box appears to the left of your collections, and you can tick the box to make that collection available on mobile. The most glaring is that syncing is based on collections. I haven't found any bugs (yet), just some areas where it isn't quite done. I'm playing with LR Mobile on my iPad and, yeah, it's a 1.0 product. 4/11/2023 0 Comments Command line for mini vmacThanks to a helpful comment from one of our readers, there is one more super simple way to open Terminal on Mac using Siri:ġ) Click the Siri button from your menu bar or open Siri from your Applications folder.Ģ) Using your microphone, simply say “Open Terminal.” 6. But selecting from SMBIOS the window obviously shows nothing because there's no info in the config file. Now in Clover Configurator I look at RTVariables and select "from system" and there is information there. Do I need to put information in my config file under SMBIOS beyond the System Definition? I don't remember ever doing that manually in other installs. One thing posted in the other thread, that I kind of hijacked, was that my config file only has System Definition as 14,2 in SMBIOS, but nothing else. So I decided to try and boot the system by removing the USB. Say you want to compare /Volumes/EFI/EFI/CLOVER/ist for both EFIs, you double click the first, it opens ok in BBEdit (for example), then you double click the other one, it won't open because BBEdit sees it as residing on the same partition.Ĭlover installers or Multibeast don't have that issue because they consider the drives where the EFI is, so no confusion for them.Īs for the boot file, I wouldn't bother copying it, but instead I'd install the same Clover on USB key and SSD over the existing ones, just to be sure: the standalone version is ok but Multibeast too, they should both respect what's already in your EFI folder, including your ist. So I must amend what I wrote when I wrote "The system considers all mounted EFI partitions as the same", the Finder has no problem with them, just third party apps. They will see them as the same because of their identical UUID (see that thread: )īut if you have one EFI on the left window and the other on the right and copy something from one to the other, it works as intended, it's just that you have to be sure you selected the good one. When I click on the first or the second, there's no issue, the Finder shows them distinctively, the problems arise only when using an app such as BBEdit, Clover Configurator, etc. Is there any screen shots, files, logs anyone may need to help me? Please let me know and I will post them quickly. I'm going nuts trying to figure this out. It seems copying the EFI from USB to SSD has helped many get around this, but alas, not me. Why oh why is my SSD not showing up in Clover boot screen. I'm completely stuck.ĮFI/Clover/drivers/BIOS the ApfsDriverLoader.efi is there. Not sure if I should have, so I left that alone. I DID NOT copy the "boot" file on the root of EFI from USB to SSD. Used Clover Configurator to mount EFI on USB and on SSD.ĭeleted EFI folder on SSD and copied USB/EFI to SSD/EFI. Reboot with USB as boot drive in BIOS (F12 menu) and select APFS Mojave (SSD) at Clover boot screen, boots fine. I can boot to desktop using USB, no issue.Ĭhange boot disk to SSD in BIOS during post, and I get to Clover screen but NO SSD to boot from. I installed a vanilla Mojave on a new SSD using UniBeast. Hardware profile is correct, however, only using IGPU (HD3000 - Sandy Bridge) for now since I could only boot with -x with RX580 installed. Building a CustoMac Hackintosh: Buyer's Guide 4/10/2023 0 Comments World conqueror 3 mod menuThe class-specific animations and sounds for the Diablo hearth never get old either. The nice part is when I am done with a task I am a click away from anywhere in the game that I have been. It works great in Diablo, and I still see plenty of players in the world doing things to give me that feeling of massive multiplayer we all love. I LOVE the open world and I still want it to require us to travel around from quest to quest or mob to mob, but the way WOW has evolved the limitless hearth seems like a natural next step. Listen, I am an open-world guy, always have been. You have unlimited “hearths” with no cooldowns and almost no death punishment. Do you want to punish us both for dying and for wanting to travel somewhere? Even Skyrim has a less taxing travel system, and it is over a decade old! Traveling around Diablo is a treat. We got old and lost time and now WOW is our casual escape to feel young again. It's for the casuals now ( my god he jumped the shark, his base will turn on him for sure). I love it in more serious MMORPG’s, but WOW is the working gamer’s game. What year is this? Do we REALLY need res sickness? That feels like some archaic punishment mechanic from EverQuest 1. Let’s talk about some old WOW dogs that need to be taken to the magic farm in the sky, hearthstones, and res sickness. Come on devs, work in some expanded explore and some random drops to give the lonely solo player a reward to tell his guild about! (Pfft, a guild of his alts maybe.) In 60 levels I recall it happening three times in Diablo! In 20 years, it happened to me once in WOW. The same can be said for treasure chests and hidden items. Let’s see the loot table give us a bit more random excitement. Nowadays I rarely ever look at my WOW loot because it's all garbage other than the green I get for finishing the quest. In the entire time I have played WOW, since Beta 4, I had one random purple I could equip and to this day it makes me smile. I am not suggesting that level of enhanced world drops, but when was the last time a solo quester was out and about slaying numerous mobs for another grindy quest when they looted something to tell their friends about? Heck, to equip! I remember the uproar when the burning crusade came out and your first random drop made the raid gear you slaved for instantly irrelevant. Something I noticed that Diablo did better than WOW, and frankly could still do more of, is random world loot drops. That does not mean it can’t hit the gym and get in better shape. That is natural, the game is no spring chicken (and neither are you). WOW’s open world and even the dungeons have lost a certain unpredictability. I never met a pet or monk class I didn’t like, and I enjoyed it to the point that I think WOW could learn a lot from it. Diablo subversively makes spending real money a strongly nudged gameplay mechanic! (And I see YOU still can’t stay on topic!) Don’t judge! It was free, on my phone, and it gave me 60 levels of fun. I mean, Fortnite is probably still the best worst example of gaming for the dollars but at least it's obvious about it. It's like playing a live action multi-level marketing juice scheme. Before I did something struck me, how can the same company make two games that are SO similar, yet fail to bring the good stuff from Diablo to WOW?ĭon’t flame me, I can’t stand how blatant the cash shop mechanics are in Diablo. (Pours libations for the one he lost not long ago.) Diablo was a fun ride until I hit max level and got bored. I can’t say I minded that convenience, but Diablo is still FAR better from the cockpit of my trusty space ship aka my PC. In my hand! I was feeling full Kirk all “beam me up Spock” and such with my fancy technology. Ahem, so there I was, playing a game called Diablo Immortal in the very palm of my hand. Well, glad to see my inner monologue is still around, and still a troll. 4/10/2023 0 Comments Sem plastic painntThis picture, clockwise from one o’clock: 1993 LE stock glovebox, Firethorn kick panel, Nakamae door panel, Portola glovebox. While NHS England and Health Secretary Sajid Javid have both called this week for a reduction in Covid restrictions in healthcare settings, some hospitals are continuing to insist on masks, hand gel and social distancing. And, with experts predicting a fresh wave about to hit the UK – the number of Covid patients on hospital wards rising 24 per cent in the last week – those for whom the virus never went away are battening down the hatches again harder than before. Figures from the Office for National Statistics show that two in five adults report being either somewhat or very worried about the effect of coronavirus on their lives at present. Morgan is one of the last isolators: a small cohort who, though official restrictions have lifted, have carried on living under them regardless. “I carry hand-sanitiser with me now all the time and I wash my hands literally 10 times a day, if not more.” Morgan, a trainer for the Coldstream Guards, avoids crowds, drives to work instead of taking the train and hasn’t been on holiday for two years, all in a bid to protect himself and his young family from the virus. But “from that moment on, I knew that I did something wrong,” the 36-year-old says – and those five bedridden days have changed his life. Farren Morgan didn’t know what to expect when he got Covid in Christmas 2020. |
